James Bama's is one of America's most recognized and respected painters. In his own words "I would like to think that I am producing a body of work which makes a valid statement about life as seen and felt by me and unique in that it is not something that has been done before." He has certainly accomplished that and more with his unique paintings of Native Americans. This gorgeous print is of a 1979 painting titled "Crow Indian Dancer." The dancer, Walter Old Elk was the grandson of "Curly," General Custer's scout in the Battle of Little Bighorn. It was Curly who made a remarkable escape and notified the army of Custer's dramatic defeat. This print, done in 1982 is #676 of 1250 and is hand signed and numbered by James Bama himself. The print measures 18 x 19 1/2" and comes professionally mounted in a museum frame that measures 27 x 28. It comes with the original certificate of authenticity that came with the print when it was originally purchased. NOTE: This is a consignment item and as such does not qualify for any special or discounted pricing.
