This is an original etching by one of the most prolific and versatile Native American artists of the 20th century. Born in 1938, Woody Crumbo,a Potowatomi Indian from Oklahoma, became known for his ability to communicate the spirit of the Native American and his yearnings for harmony and peace with the world around him. His work has been purchased by Queen Elizabeth, various presidents of the United States and museums too many to name but including the Smithsonian and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. This original etching depicts a deer with her fawn standing in the snow and measures 4" wide by 5 3/8" tall. It has been framed and the entire frame measures 11" by 14." The piece is hand signed by Mr. Crumbo, who passed away in 1989.
