Horsehair pottery is one of the most difficult mediums in all of Native American Artwork as it involves flaming the pottery to an incredible 1600 degrees, then immediately pulling it out, applying the horsehair and then returning it to the kiln. Often times this results in the pottery actually exploding! Thankfully, Tom Vail has mastered this art form and rather than creating shards of broken pottery and dust, he provides the world with some of the most lovely and engaging wedding vases you will ever see. These beautiful 3" Navajo wedding vases are incredibly popular wedding gifts and are being used quite often as southwestern style cake toppers and decorations. (Signed T Vail.) NOTE: There will be slight color and shade variations that are inherent to handmade pottery. The lines created by the horsehair application will never be identical.
