Blackfoot artist William Dill carves, burns, and paints these unique, one-of-a-kind cougar basswood statues one-by-one and entirely by hand. This is one of the finest examples of contemporary Native American artwork you will see anywhere. Williams wildlife sculptures are some of the most compelling and dramatic animal carvings we have ever seen and this cougar is perhaps his finest work ever. Taking well over 200 hours to complete, these sculptures are incredible collector's items that will be cherished for generations in any family that appreciates fine craftsmanship, beautiful artistry, animals and nature. Approximate Measurements: Base: 15" by 5" Height: 9" Cougar: 12" by 5" tall IMPORTANT NOTES: The photographs are of his most recent cougar. Because they are completely handcrafted, NO TWO WILL EVER BE EXACTLY ALIKE in terms of shade or size. He will begin carving this at the time the order is placed.
