Using the natural red clay of the Navajo reservation, Lone Hair creates his unique and instantly recognizable horsehair pottery. Very traditional, this beautiful style owes its beauty to its simplicity but don't let that fool you. The process through which horsehair pottery is made becomes even more difficult when the artist uses red clay, as there is a much higher risk of the pottery actually exploding during the flaming process! Adding to this, Lone Hair has glazed the entire pot, including the inside, thus making it possible to use this in a traditional ceremony! These adorable pots make an ideal gift or the perfect addition to any pottery collection! Dimensions: 3" tall and approximately 3" at its widest point. Signed "Lone Hair." NOTE: There will be slight color and shade variations that are inherent to handmade pottery. The etchings will be the same piece to piece but the lines created by the horsehair application will never be identical.
