1 Cup Water
1 Cup Long Grain Rice
1/2 Cup Sugar
4 Cups Milk
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Method
+ Place rice in bowl and cover with hot water, soak overnight at room temperature
+ The next day strain the rice, discarding the soaking water
+Place rice, 1/2 cup fresh water, 2 cups milk in a blender and grind until smooth
+ Blend in sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon
+ Strain mixture through thick layered cheesecloth several times if necessary, avoid squeezing the cloth
+ Serve chilled
+ Makes about 6 cups
