Big Bear, a Cherokee artist now residing in outside of Houston, TX has created these beautiful and compelling knives, rattles, drums and other artifacts. A traditionalist, he makes each piece one by one using traditional methods and designs. His people lived in the Ohio River Valley but after 1830, moved north to live among the Shawnee Indians. Each of Big Bear's handmade items carry his spirit as well as the power and strength of his people's traditions and heritage.
